SOS INTERNATIONAL TEAMS WITH RAYTHEON TO WIN MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR TASK ORDER TO TRAIN AFGHAN BORDER POLICE

RESTON, VA –Raytheon and SOS International (SOSi) were awarded a three year, multi-million dollar task order by the U.S. Navy Counter-Narcoterrorism Technology Program Office (CNTPO) and U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (SMDC) to stand up and manage the Afghanistan Advanced Border Management Academy (AABMA) in Afghanistan. SOSi will serve as the lead on the effort, building on its successful management of the Afghan Counter Narcotics Training Academy (CNTA), which it established in 2008.
When asked about the award, SOSi's Chief Operating Officer, Julian Setian, said, "The government clearly recognizes the success of the CNTA in Kabul, which has been one of the marquee NATO/U.S. Government training missions in theater, and we look forward to establishing a similar reputation for the AABMA." SOSi will be responsible for developing and teaching a curriculum that provides the Afghan border police with in-depth operational and leadership training. Work will be performed at the Ministry of Interior's Facility at Sherberghan, Jowzjan Province, Afghanistan.
