SOS INTERNATIONAL ON TEAM AWARDED MULTI-BILLION DOLLAR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES CONTRACT
May 17, 2010
RESTON, VA – The Defense Intelligence Agency has awarded a multi-billion dollar IT services contract to a total of 11 firms, including General Dynamics IT (GDIT). SOS International Ltd. (SOSi) will partner with GDIT in support of this contract.
Called “Solutions for the Information Technology Enterprise (SITE),” the five-year, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract has a value of $6.6 billion. The 11 winners and their subcontractor teams will provide IT services and management in a wide variety of areas—from application development to system architecture to enterprise storage—in support of the entire DoD intelligence community.
“SOSi is pleased to be part of this winning effort,” said Marvin Furusho, Senior VP of SOSi’s Intelligence Solutions Group. “We have a long-standing relationship with our colleagues at GDIT and the SITE award allows us to continue that relationship, working side by side with them to help solve DIA’s IT mission needs.”
Under SITE, SOSi’s support will consist of services such as systems engineering, operations support, network operation and administration, web services/content management, information assurance, security management and training. Much of this work will support worldwide locations and include maintenance of IT enterprises, data center design, installation and management in addition to technology refresh and network modernization.
“This contract will help SOSi expand our already growing IT enterprise and associated skills, complementing our other CONUS and OCONUS efforts where we provide experienced, cleared IT and mission support personnel in support of our customers’ requirements,” added Furusho.
SOSi is a privately owned defense services firm with more than 1,200 employees worldwide. Now in its third decade of
operation, SOSi provides a wide range of analytical, training, and consulting services to the U.S. government and private sector
firms in the defense and aerospace industry. It specializes in counter-terrorism and counterdrug operations, international
stabilization and capacity building, public affairs and strategic communications.
