BRIGADIER GENERAL WESLEY B. TAYLOR TO LEAD INFORMATION ENGAGEMENT GROUP
May 6, 2009
RESTON, VA - After six months of exemplary effort managing SOSi’s operations in Iraq, Brigadier General (Ret.) Wesley B. Taylor, Jr. has been promoted to vice president and has returned to the United States to take the helm of SOSi’s Information Engagement Group (IEG). The group encompasses the company’s public affairs, media analysis/engagement and psychological operations, and includes SOSi's highly successful, world-wide media monitoring program.
“That we selected Wes for promotion to executive leadership of the business unit after only six months of service is a testament to the quality of both his work and his character,” said SOSi Chief Operating Officer Julian Setian.
Taylor served two combat tours in Vietnam and Grenada, and was highly decorated for service and gallantry. His U.S. and foreign awards include the Distinguished Service Medal, the Joint Superior Service Medal, two Legions of Merit, Silver and Bronze Stars, and the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry and Honor Medal. In recognition of his outstanding service contributions, Mr. Taylor was inducted into the U.S. Army’s Ranger Hall of Fame in 2001.
