June 10, 2008
RESTON, VA - SOS International (SOSi) has been awarded a contract to provide media relations and translation services to the U.S. Army Public Affairs Office (PAO) at the Novo-Selo Training Area (NSTA) in Bulgaria. Under the terms of the contract, SOSi will provide personnel with expertise in bilingual media relations at NSTA, part of Joint Task Force-East (JTF-E), who will facilitate interviews, accompany PAO personnel to media events and assist with press release preparation.
“SOSi has been recognized for its ability to provide personnel with not only the critical experience working with media outlets that this contract requires, but also with a general expertise in Bulgarian culture, economy and military conditions,” said Sosi Setian, the company’s President and CEO.
The contract also contains a media analysis element, as SOSi personnel will analyze and report on local media coverage of U.S. activities in the area – determining reporting angle of outlets and general perceptions in media.
JTF-E refers to the U.S. military units deployed to both Bulgaria and Romania. The NSTA is among the joint U.S.-Bulgarian military bases established by the 2006 Defense Cooperation Agreement between the two countries.
