SOS INTERNATIONAL AWARDED USAREUR LANGUAGE SUPPORT CONTRACT

RESTON, VA - The United States Army Europe Command (USAREUR) has awarded SOS International Ltd. (SOSi) a contract to provide language support services throughout the European Command Area of Responsibility (AOR).

The four-year contract, valued in excess of $40 million, calls for SOSi to provide interpreters and linguists in Eastern Europe, in particular Kosovo, Bulgaria and Romania with potential expansion to other parts of Europe and Africa. Under the terms of the contract, SOSi linguists and interpreters will assist in a wide range of twenty-four hours per day, seven days per week language services, from critical interpretation work to the production of transcripts and other media in support of Army operations in the AOR.

“This is a milestone win for SOSi as it creates a large footprint within Europe from which to expand our operations,” said Deputy Program Manager, Carrie Satterlee. “SOSi now has significant language and cultural support operations ongoing on three continents with potential expansion to a fourth.”

SOS International Ltd, commonly referred to as SOSi, is a privately held consulting firm that provides research, analysis and operational support services to the U.S. Government and large private companies in the Defense & Aerospace industries. The company is headquartered in New York City and employs more than 1,000 full-time personnel worldwide.
