SOS INTERNATIONAL AWARDED TITLE III WIRE INTERCEPT MONITORING CONTRACT BY DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY

RESTON, VA - SOS International (SOSi) was one of five companies awarded a national five year contract today by the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to provide Title III wire intercept monitoring services to support sensitive investigations directed against illegal immigration, drug trafficking, terrorist networks and other criminal activities. ICE was formed in 2003 from the law enforcement branches of the former Immigration and Naturalization Service and the U.S. Customs Service and is the Department of Homeland Security's largest investigative branch.

ICE supports the law enforcement community's investigative efforts worldwide, and since its inception, has developed and implemented numerous measures to counter national security threats, detect potential terrorist and other criminal organizations and activities, target illegal immigration, and enforce economic, technological, transportation and infrastructure security. SOSi is recognized as a leading supporter of Federal and state counter-drug and counter-terrorism efforts internationally and has been providing Title III services to its customers for nearly two decades.

"SOSi will provide invaluable support to ICE in its continuing efforts to counter illicit drug and terrorist activities that threaten the security of the United States," said SOSi's Senior Vice President for Law Enforcement and Security Services, Michael S. Vigil, a retired DEA Executive who previously served as the agency's Chief of International Operations.
