FBI AWARDS SOS INTERNATIONAL LINGUIST CONTRACT TO SUPPORT "VIRTUAL" FOREIGN LANGUAGE TRANSLATION COLLABORATIVE

RESTON, VA - SOS International (SOSi) has announced a win on a multi-award contract with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to provide linguist support in over 60 languages in conjuction with the FBI's partnership with the National Virtual Translation Center (NVTC).

The NVTC is a national "virtual" collaborative comprised of a network of linguists drawn from the U.S. Government, the U.S. military, private industry and academia to provide a medium for stakeholders in the Intelligence Community to share language resources and to supplement existing U.S. Government translation capabilities.

SOSi will provide assistance with language identification, interpretation, monitoring, transcription and translation of verbal and written communications in support of the FBI's joint initiatives with the NVTC as its Executive Agent that provides recruiting, testing and other administrative services to support the NVTC's mission. SOSi has among the largest staffs of full-time linguists and advisors in the world, spanning the widest spectrum of linguistic, ethnic, religious and cultural backgrounds and has nearly two decades of experience fielding personnel for both the highest and lowest density languages to support the Law Enforcement, Defense, Intelligence and Diplomatic communities.
