AIR FORCE AWARDS SOS INTERNATIONAL SECOND CONSECUTIVE WIN ON LINGUIST CONTRACT

RESTON, VA - SOS International (SOSi) today won its second consecutive award on a highly sought-after linguist contract with the 376th Air Expeditionary Wing (376th AEW) at Manas Air Base in Northern Kyrgyzstan. This win is attributed in large part to SOSi's top-notch personnel and superior past performance. The initial effort to provide 24/7 translation and interpretation services to support various 376th AEW organizations commenced in 2005. Since that time, the work has grown tremendously in both complexity and scope.

SOSi currently maintains a forward-deployed office at Manas Air Base and employs over 40 local Kyrgyz nationals who not only translate and interpret written and oral communications, but even more importantly, work closely with the 376th AEW Wing Commander's staff and Squadron Commanders and are instrumental in sustaining key relationships with Kyrgyz Government officials critical to the success of the Wing's mission. SOSi's linguists, who have in-depth knowledge of and insight into the cultural dynamics of Kyrgyz society, support the Wing's air traffic control, security forces, civil engineering and acquisition operations as well as its public relations endeavors. This effort will continue for the next three years based on the recent award.

The 376th AEW is situated in a strategically important location both geographically and economically in Central Asia, serving as both a logistical hub as well as a transit point for equipment, supplies and coalition and U.S. forces supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
