SOS INTERNATIONAL AWARDED TRANSLATION AND INTERPRETATION SERVICES CONTRACT BY STATE OF NEW YORK

RESTON, VA - SOS International, Ltd. (SOSi) today was awarded a contract by the State of New York Executive Department to provide translation and interpretation services to support the State's Office of General Services.

Under this five-year contract, SOSi translators will interpret, proof, format, localize and determine the appropriate meanings of words in a variety of multi-language documents from the source languages into English and vice versa. This is a 24 hour a day, seven day a week effort that will require both on-site and telephone translation support for documents and conversations in over 26 languages, including Arabic, Dutch, French, German, Indian, Italian, Korean, Mandarin, Portuguese, Spanish and Vietnamese.

SOSi employs among the largest staffs of full-time linguists in the world, spanning among the widest spectrum of languages. Based on its widely-known experience and expertise providing foreign language services, SOSi is frequently invited to participate in smaller bids such as this. This contract is expected to present the company with opportunities to expand its business within both its home state and city of New York.
