SOS INTERNATIONAL WINS $68M FOREIGN MEDIA ANALYSIS CONTRACT

RESTON, VA - The U.S. Strategic Command has announced the award of a $68 million, five-year contract to SOS International (SOSi) to build and manage a 24x7 foreign media analysis and watch center.
SOSi has been hired to monitor, analyze and gauge foreign perceptions in television, radio, print and Internet media in up to 50 countries worldwide, and will provide open source intelligence and communications support to the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Combatant Commands and numerous other customers throughout the Department of Defense and Department of State. SOSi will provide all of the necessary facilities, technology, and resources to support thousands of end-users across the U.S. Government, and will provide real-time support to both strategic and tactical level decision making throughout the world.
"Over the course of the past few years, SOSi has become increasingly focused on assisting the U.S. Government in achieving information superiority over its adversaries. This is the flagship foreign media analysis program in the private sector supporting the Federal Government," said Julian Setian, SOSi's Chief Operating Officer. "And SOSi is rapidly becoming recognized as the chief technology and service integrator in the global information war."
