RESTON, VA - SOS International (SOSi) announced today that it was a member of a team that was awarded a $36 million contract by the U.S. Government to provide outsourced linguist support in Fort Meade, Maryland, Ft. Gordon, Georgia and Medina, Texas. If all of the options are exercised, the contract will extend through September 30, 2008.
The prime contractor on the program is The Titan Corporation (NYSE: TTN) based in San Diego, CA. The team that was awarded the contract includes CACI, ManTech, Inc., Batelle, and several other highly reputable Defense firms. SOSi is a first-tier subcontractor and is partnered with Titan on several other large programs with the Department of Defense and Department of Justice. The two companies have had a long-standing relationship that dates back to 2001.
"We are extremely pleased to support both Titan and the U.S. Government on this effort," said Julian M. Setian, SOSi's Chief Operating Officer. "This win further solidifies the strategic partnership we have been building with Titan over the past four years, and clearly establishes us as a leader in the Intelligence support industry."
The purpose of this contract is to provide a full range of intelligence collection and analysis support services to the U.S. Government and is the largest such program to have been solicited by the Agency. The contract is expected to double in size by the end of 2005.
